SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of parts such as cylindrical shells, on the outer surface of which there are longitudinal corrugations. The method for producing shells with longitudinal corrugations on the outer surface includes installing the shell blank on a matrix with a lead-in, its shaping by pushing through the matrix with a punch to form corrugations on the outer surface, while longitudinal corrugations are formed in one operation of combined drawing from the shell blank with coefficients change in diameter m_d =D₁ /D_c0, where m_d is the coefficient of change in diameter, D₁ is the outer diameter of the finished shell, D_c0 is the outer diameter of the blank-shell, and with the coefficient of local thinning m_s =lh/S, where m_s is the coefficient of local thinning, h is the depth of the corrugation; S is the wall thickness of the blank-shell, in a matrix with a working belt with a diameter equal to the outer diameter D₁ of the finished shell, and local sections along the perimeter of the working belt of the matrix have protrusions with a height equal to the depth of the corrugations h, corresponding to the shape, number and dimensions of the required longitudinal corrugations.

EFFECT: obtaining shells with longitudinal corrugations on the outer surface from blanks whose diametrical dimensions are larger than the dimensions of the finished shell with corrugations.
