FIELD: metal forming.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in production of corrugated shells. Blank is shaped in the form of a shell by crimping its part along the whole perimeter. For this purpose, puncheon, female die and extractor are used. Working surface of the puncheon has a periodically varying diameter. Maximum value of diameter corresponds to inner diameter of workpiece, and minimum value – to difference between inner diameter of workpiece and double height of corrugation. Working surface of matrix cavity is equidistant to working surface of puncheon with provision of gap between them equal to thickness of workpiece. Before shaping the workpiece, the pusher is installed on the punch. Then workpiece is installed on punch till contact with pusher. Workpiece is shaped by moving the matrix in the axial direction and the finished shell is removed by the pusher. Pusher corresponds in size and shape to the finished shell.

EFFECT: possibility of obtaining shells with longitudinal corrugations.
