FIELD: chemistry of organic compounds, pharmacology, medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is intended for treatment and/or prevention of a disease or condition mediated or maintained by human cytochrome 11B2 (CYP11B2) activity. New derivatives of the general formula (I) are presented, where R1 is (C1-C3)-alkyl-O-(C1-C3)-alkyl or a 5-7 membered heterocycle containing 1 oxygen and/or 1 nitrogen, or C6-aryl optionally substituted with 1 R3 substituent; wherein R3 is -SO2NR4R5 or -CONR6R7; R4 is (C1-C3)-alkyl; R5 is (C1-C3)-alkyl; R6 and R7 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached can form a 5-7 membered heterocycle containing 2 heteroatoms selected from nitrogen and/or oxygen. Also a pharmaceutical composition containing these derivatives is presented. In another embodiment, there is provided the use of the said derivatives to inhibit CYP11B2, as well as a method of treating and/or preventing a disease or condition mediated or maintained by CYP11B2 activity in a subject using the said derivatives.
