SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a fluorinated copolymer having excellent low temperature properties and cross-linking ability, and a method for producing the same. Described is a fluorinated copolymer that has units based on tetrafluoroethylene, units based on propylene and units based on at least one of CF₂=CFOCF₂CF₂OCF₂OCF₂OCF₃ and CF₂=CFOCF₂CF₂OCF₂CF₂OCF₂CF₃ or which has units based on vinylidene fluoride and units based on at least one of CF₂=CFOCF₂CF₂OCF₂OCF₂OCF₃ and CF₂=CFOCF₂CF₂OCF₂CF₂OCF₂CF₃ and which has either one or both of iodine atoms and bromine atoms. Also described is a method for the production of a fluorinated copolymer, which includes the polymerization of a monomer component containing tetrafluoroethylene, propylene and at least one compound from CF₂=CFOCF₂CF₂OCF₂OCF₂OCF₃ and CF₂=CFOCF₂CF₂OCF₂CF₂OCF₂CF₃, or a monomeric component containing vinylidene fluoride and at least one compound from CF₂=CFOCF₂CF₂OCF₂OCF₂OCF₃ and CF₂=CFOCF₂CF₂OCF₂CF₂OCF₂CF₃, where, at least one component selected from the group consisting of a monomer containing either one or both of an iodine atom and a bromine atom, and a chain transfer agent containing either one or both of an iodine atom and a bromine atom must be present in the system polymerization.

EFFECT: obtaining a fluorinated copolymer with improved low-temperature properties and cross-linking ability.
