FIELD: catalysts.
SUBSTANCE: production of a catalyst on coal carriers, in particular to the field of production of a catalyst for the absorption of toxic substances (TS) and acid chemically hazardous substances - acid gases. A method for producing a catalyst is proposed, including the preparation of an aqueous ammonia solution containing catalytic additives of copper, chromium, silver, and triethylenediamine with a total amount of 11-20% in terms of metal cations, impregnation of active carbon with this solution, heat treatment, while before impregnation active coal is evacuated, impregnation is carried out with a ratio of 0.6-1.0 depending on the quality of the catalyst, and heat treatment is carried out at a temperature of 150-180°C in the vibrated layer until the ammonia complexes of metals are completely converted into catalytically active for acid chemically hazardous substances - acid gases and toxic substances (TS).
EFFECT: production of a catalyst having high protective characteristics for TS and acid gases.
