FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering, namely to a microprocessor relay protection and automation device (hereinafter “MP URZA”). The technical result is achieved through “MP URZA” (33) having a modular design, and the modules include both modules for performing the relay protection and automation functions, and a module whose function is to control a single vacuum circuit breaker. Housing (34) houses backplane (38) and the following modules: CPU module (37), power supply module (44), vacuum circuit breaker control module (47), analog signal input module (43), and discrete signal input/output modules (51-54). On the backplane, there is a digital trunk communication bus used to exchange data between the CPU module and all other functional modules (except the power module) in the master-slave mode, where the CPU module is the master.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of tools available to “MP URZA”.
