SUBSTANCE: invention relates to intra prediction. Devices and methods for intra prediction are proposed. The method includes: obtaining a value of the first indication information of the current block, wherein the value of the first indication information indicates whether the intra prediction mode of the current block is contained in the most likely mode set; and getting the reference row value of the index of the current block. When the value of the first indication information indicates that the intra prediction mode of the current block is contained in the most likely mode set, and when the value of the index reference row indicates that the closest adjacent reference row to the current block is used, the method further includes obtaining a value of the second indication information of the current block, wherein the value of the second current block indication information indicates whether the intra prediction mode of the current block is a planar mode or not.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency and speed of coding, in particular, an increase in the efficiency of determining the intra prediction mode of the current block.
