FIELD: absorbent elements.

SUBSTANCE: absorbent element may comprise a top, liquid-permeable cover material, a bottom cover material, a reinforcing material located between the top cover material and the bottom cover material, the reinforcing material being bonded directly to the top cover material by means of a first adhesive layer and bonded directly to the bottom cover material with a second adhesive layer, and the superabsorbent material located between the top cover material and the bottom cover material, while from about 30% to about 85% by weight of the total amount of superabsorbent material located between the top cover material and the bottom cover material is stabilized inside a reinforcing material as determined according to the Stabilization Test Method (SAM).
