FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for simultaneous non-invasive measurement of blood pressure (BP) and pulse wave velocity (PWV) in blood vessels. The device includes an automatic blood pressure monitor for measuring blood pressure by the oscillometric method with two shoulder compression cuffs (5.1, 5.2) and four optical PPG sensors (6.1–6.4) attached to it. The tonometer contains an electronic block and two pneumatic blocks. Each pneumatic unit includes a cuff inflation unit, a pneumatic pressure relief valve, and a cuff air pressure sensor. The electronic unit includes a microprocessor, two blocks for processing signals from pressure sensors and four blocks for processing signals from PPG sensors. The microprocessor of the tonometer is configured to process all incoming signals from pneumatic units and PPG sensors, perform calculations for measuring PWV, and also control the operation of PPG sensors and pneumatic units. Each block for processing signals from pressure sensors contains an analog amplification block, a digitization block and a digital filtering block connected in series. Each block for processing signals from PPG sensors contains an analog amplification block, a digitization block and a digital filtering block connected in series with an adjustable delay in the appearance of a signal at the output of the block. The microprocessor has eight output channels for controlling the operation and switching on/off of the elements of pneumatic units and PPG sensors and is equipped with algorithms for calculating PWV in the aorta, left-sided and right-sided PWV for each PPG sensor, as well as the cardio-ankle vascular index and its analogues for the aorta and peripheral small arteries in the area "lower leg — toe" for the left and right sides of the body.
EFFECT: increased diagnostic information content of the device in the evaluation of PWV and expansion of its functionality by determining PWV in vessels of different hierarchies along the entire body simultaneously with the procedure for measuring blood pressure using the standard oscillometric method, taking measurements simultaneously from two sides of the body, which allows you to simultaneously assess the asymmetry of indicators from the left and right sides of the body and separately evaluate PWV in the aorta and in peripheral vessels.
