FIELD: driver monitoring systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for monitoring the state of the driver when driving. The method includes preliminary collection of data on vehicle control parameters by measuring means and their comparison with current data. Data is obtained in the process of driving a vehicle. In the process of driving a vehicle, the psychophysiological parameters of the driver are determined and evaluated. Preliminary data and responses are obtained outside of driving, while driving, while driving in an irritated state, while driving under the influence of alcohol, and while driving in a fatigued state. As the psychophysiological parameters of the driver, the direction of gaze, blinking frequency, pulse, blood pressure, driver reaction time and the presence of ethyl alcohol vapours are determined and evaluated. As vehicle control parameters, the longitudinal accelerations and decelerations of the vehicle and the frequency of rebuilding of the vehicle when driving on the road are determined and evaluated.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the state of the driver is achieved.
