SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle safety systems. Method for determination of dangerous conditions on public roads based on monitoring of situation in vehicle cabin. Detecting image areas containing face, eyes and boundaries of pupil motion area, determining frequency and direction of eye movement, frequency of blinking, duration of time when eyes are closed. Driver state parameters are compared with reference states for sleep state and sleep state and decision is made on signaling to driver. Recommendations are generated on the basis of certain dangerous condition and context of driver, and then decision is made on necessity of signaling to driver. That is followed by storing statistics and generating a report for interested persons, identifying driver behavior patterns, calibrating algorithms for recognizing hazardous situations for operation with a particular driver and detecting driver preferences to form personalized recommendations.
