SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reconfigurable modular robots containing adaptive mobile flat modules capable of functioning both autonomously and collectively as part of swarm robotic systems and can be used for individual and collective operation in ground, underground, underwater, aerospace technology and engineering structures. An adaptive mobile flat module with its own control system with sensors and a power source is an active triangle, the sides of which are made in the form of combined pairs of oppositely directed coaxial linear drives with intermodular docking/undocking assemblies in the form of coaxial hollow cones rigidly installed at the free ends of the linear drives.
EFFECT: improving reliability and reducing overall weight characteristics by reducing the number of drives, simplifying the design, expanding the functionality of the device by organizing self-movement and collective interaction of adaptive mobile flat modules and creating several autonomous reconfigurable modular robots from separate autonomous adaptive mobile flat modules
