FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: conjunctival incisions are made in the projection of muscle attachment and a muscle surgery is performed. The T-shape incision is made on the conjunctiva, one horizontal part of which, 3–5 mm long, is made parallel to the place of attachment of the muscle, and a perpendicular incision is made towards the muscle up to 3 mm long. When performing a muscle surgery, the anterior wall of the muscle capsule is opened, peeled off to a length of 3 to 6 mm, a suture is made on the middle portion of the muscle, and a U-shaped suture is made on the conjunctiva.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to gain access to the oculomotor rectus muscles in case of median tenorrhaphy, to reduce the invasiveness of the surgery by reducing the surgical trauma.
