FIELD: foundry and welding production.

SUBSTANCE: unit installation for the manufacture of rods for argon-arc surfacing comprises an induction furnace (2) for molten metal, cylindrical moulds made in the form of quartz tubes (1), a vacuum pump and a system of flexible vacuum hoses with taps. Quartz tubes are used, the hole diameter of which is 3-5 mm, which are immersed in the molten metal (4) placed in the crucible (5) of the induction furnace. Quartz tubes are installed in a distribution manifold (7) fixed on a stand (3) and connected to a receiver (9) equipped with a vacuum gauge (10) via a flexible vacuum hose (6) with a ball valve (11). The receiver communicates with the vane vacuum pump (13) through a flexible vacuum hose with a ball valve (12).

EFFECT: obtaining a batch of rods for argon-arc surfacing with a diameter of 3-5 mm directly from molten metal without the use of a water-cooled metal mould.
