SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a method for the simultaneous production of an aqueous extract and essential oil from essential oil raw materials by steam percolation. A method for the simultaneous production of a plant extract and an essential oil from an essential oil raw material, including the extraction of the plant material by steam percolation and cooling of the resulting steam condensate followed by its separation into an essential oil and a de-essential extract, whereas the extraction is carried out in a direct-flow percolator by sequential pulse (pulsation) transmission sharp water vapor through a layer of plant material for 1-3 hours until the extract is completely discoloured, which is achieved with a ratio of raw material and extract of 1:10, the plant material is crushed before loading into the percolator, and fresh raw material is crushed while simultaneously irrigating it with water in the ratio of raw material and water 4:1-3:1, and dried after wetting and swelling, and when loaded into the percolator, crushed vegetable raw materials are alternated with unground ones in a ratio of 5:1.

EFFECT: simultaneously producing an aqueous plant extract with a high content of biologically active substances and essential oil.
