SUBSTANCE: helmet comprising an outer shell, a head harness capable of being mounted on top of a helmet wearer's head, the head harness being suspended inside the outer shell such that in use an air gap is provided between the head harness and the outer shell; the helmet further comprises a head interface device mounted on the surface of the head attachment, which is configured to face the head of the helmet wearer so that the head interface device can move relative to the head attachment, and there is a low friction contact surface between the head attachment and the head interface device.
