FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the processes of separation of target fractions from gas mixtures, in particular, it can be used to extract propane-butane and ethane fractions from natural gas, stable gas gasoline, acidic components, water, etc. In the method for separating target fractions from natural gas, gas treatment includes the following processes one after another: heating natural gas in a gas-gas heat exchanger and a heater, expanding heated natural gas in a turbine of a turbo-expander unit (TEU), cooling gas in a gas-gas heat exchanger, separation of target natural gas fractions from natural gas by absorption, or adsorption, or membrane separation, compression of the entire flow of treated gas in the TEU compressor part, and the gas temperature upstream of the TEU turbine is maintained at such a level that the gas pressure at the outlet of the TEU compressor part exceeds the pressure gas in front of the TEU turbine.
EFFECT: significant reduction in capital and operating costs in plants designed to extract target fractions.
