SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to measuring instruments for studying traction resistance and loading of working bodies of tillage machines and implements. The method and device for determining the point of application of the resultant longitudinal force acting on the working body of the tillage machine includes fixing force-measuring elements on the working body and determining the value of the resultant longitudinal force acting on the working body by means of strain gauges. At the same time, the magnitude of the bending moment from the said resultant relative to the fixed point is measured, and the instantaneous distance from the fixed point to the point of application of the resultant is determined by the dependence: H=M/P, where H is the instantaneous distance from a fixed point to the point of application of the resultant longitudinal forces, m; M is the value of the bending moment at a fixed point, N⋅m; P is the value of the resultant longitudinal force, N.

EFFECT: determination of the point of application of the resultant longitudinal force acting on the working body of the tillage machine.
