FIELD: nuclear physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for operational measurement of the transportability and standard geometric deviation of the transportability of radioactive aerosols in industrial conditions. The method consists of a preliminary single calibration (taring) of the impactor in transportability units by a preliminary single measurement of the transportability at each stage of the impactor. After calibrating (taring) the impactor in units of transportability, it is possible to repeatedly periodically and/or as necessary measure the transportability and the standard geometric deviation of the transportability of radioactive aerosols. To do this, it is sufficient to measure the radioactivity of the radionuclide at each stage of the impactor. Based on the radionuclide radioactivity measurements at each impactor cascade, an integral transportability distribution function is constructed for all cascades.
EFFECT: making it possible to measure the transportability and the standard geometric deviation of the transportability of radioactive aerosols.
