SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drilling and blasting in rocks and can be used in various industries that use blasting in rock masses, in particular in the development of minerals in an open way. The method of stemming wells includes lowering into the well to the depth of an array with intense fracturing of the stemming. Initially, a well is drilled with a diameter 10-25% less than the design well diameter, after which, at a depth of 1.5-3.0 meters from the day surface, the well diameter is expanded to the design well diameter and the well is drilled to the remaining required depth. The well is loaded with explosive, the explosive net is installed, and the stemming is installed in the borehole by means of flexible connecting elements fixed at one end to the side edges of the stemming. A stemming is immersed into the well, the transverse ends of which are rounded, with a radius of curvature equal to the design radius of the well, and a width commensurate with the diameter of the wellhead, after which the stemming is fixed on a support structure placed above the wellhead.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of rock crushing by increasing the reliability of the stemming installation in the well and increasing the capacity of stemming resistance to the upward movement of expanding gaseous detonation products.
