SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of a gold cluster (AuC) to obtain a medicinal product for the treatment of diabetes in a subject. Use of a gold cluster (AuC) to produce a medicinal product for the treatment of diabetes in a subject, while the said AuC comprises the following: a gold core and a gold core modifying ligand, where the ligand is selected from the group consisting of L-cysteine and its derivatives, D-cysteine and its derivatives, cysteine-containing oligopeptides and their derivatives and other thiol-containing compounds, the gold core has a diameter in the range of 0.5–2.6 nm.
EFFECT: solution described above makes it possible to use gold clusters to produce a medicinal product for the treatment of diabetes.
