FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology, specifically to peptide analogues INGAP-PP, and can be used in medicine for treating the weakened pancreatic function, metabolic disease, to promote neuroprotection and nerve regeneration, to stimulate liver regeneration and to inhibit inflammation. Invention enables to obtain a peptide IGLHDPSHGTLPAG or IGLHDPTQGTEPAG or a peptide analogue selected from SEQ ID NO: 7, 9–15, 23, 27–30, 41–53, 60, 62, 68–72 exhibiting higher activity as compared to parental peptide INGAP-PP.
EFFECT: high activity of the obtained peptide consists in: activity of maintaining its stability in the culture medium and plasma; decreased blood glucose level activity, reduced fasting insulin levels and reduced oral glucose tolerance, induction activity of the neogenesis effect, stimulation of reproduction and proliferation of pancreatic islets, activity of increasing survival of the transplanted islets in vivo, stimulation activity of insulin secretion in the main cells of pancreatic islets, activity of promoting neuroprotection or regeneration of nerves, activity of promoting liver regeneration and / or activity of inhibiting inflammation.
