METHOD FOR ISOMERIZATION OF C5-C7 HYDROCARBONS IN THE RANGE OF LIGHT GASOLINE FRACTIONS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC C07C5/22 C10G45/60 C10G65/14 C10G7/00 C10G11/05

Abstract RU 2801944 C1

FIELD: hydrocarbon processing.

SUBSTANCE: present invention is related to a process for the isomerization of C5-C7 hydrocarbons in the range of light gasoline fractions. The method involves supplying hydrocarbon feedstock from light gasoline fractions (10) to a fractionating column (12) for separation into a stream of isopentane (11), a stream (13), mainly consisting of mono- and dibranched n-pentane, n-hexane, isomers of n-hexane, and some methylcyclopentane, as well as a stream (14), mainly consisting of methylcyclopentane, cyclohexane, benzene and C7 paraffin/naphthenic hydrocarbons; mixing the stream (13) with the recycle stream (29) and hydrogen, and feeding the feed to the first isomerization reactor (16), which operates at a temperature in the range of 180-210°C and is equipped with a mixed metal oxide type catalyst; transferring the effluent (17) obtained from the first isomerization reactor (16) through a separator (20) for separating hydrogen (22) and liquid stream (21) after cooling; feeding liquid stream (21) to stabilizer (23) to separate dissolved light gases (24) and bottom stream (25), and directing stream (25) to fractionator (26) to obtain top stream (27), middle stream (29) and lower flow (28); returning the middle stream (29) to the first isomerization reactor (16); and mixing the stream (14) from the fractionating column (12) with hydrogen and feeding it to a second isomerization reactor (30) which operates at a temperature in the range of 140-180°C containing a mixed metal oxide type catalyst to produce an effluent stream (32) which passes through a separator (33) to remove hydrogen (34) and obtain a liquid stream (35) after cooling.

EFFECT: improvement of existing processes.
