FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: artificial knee joint of the hip prosthesis contains an upper fork with an elastic stop and a lower fork with an elastic stop and a braking roller fixed in its eyes. The upper and lower forks are pivotally connected by means of a brake mechanism. The brake mechanism consists of a support housing, to which a rotary brake lever is pivotally connected. The brake lever is configured to envelop and compress the brake roller from above. The horn body covers the braking roller from below. The upper fork is pivotally connected to the support body and is configured to press on the end of the brake lever when turning. The lower fork is pivotally connected to the swivel brake lever by means of a brake roller.
EFFECT: invention provides a simplification of the design, which ensures compression of the brake roller without overcoming the deformation force of the body part of the brake mechanism.
