SUBSTANCE: invention is proposed to measure the linear dimensions of manufactured objects. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that at least one source (Fj) of x-rays is placed on the same base line (B) parallel to the rectilinear trajectory of movement of objects, and one or more image sensors (Ci) are obtained, for each object during its movement, a set of one-dimensional radiographic images of processing, including for a certain number (NK) of individual planes (Pk) of the section containing the base line, a certain number (NP) of the specified images obtained in at least three different directions (Dijk) projections in the section plane; for each object and for each individual section plane (Pk), the contouring of the object in the considered section plane (Pk) is determined, on the basis of the obtained images.

EFFECT: enabling accurate dimensional X-ray control of manufactured objects moving forward at high speed.
