FIELD: inspection of empty glass containers.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the inspection of empty glass containers, such as bottles, jars, vials, moving along the conveyor after their manufacture, in order to identify and measure possible dimensional or inclusion-type defects. The control line (100) contains at least: - at the finish control station, the finish control unit (200) configured to detect non-contact defects such as inclusions in the neck (5) of the containers using light rays; - at the bottom inspection station, a bottom inspection unit (300) capable of detecting non-contact defects such as inclusions in the bottom (3) of the containers using light rays; - at the radiographic measurement station, a radiographic installation (400) for automatic measurement of the linear dimensions of at least one checked area of the containers. All three installations (200, 300, 400) are located, each, at different posts along the trajectory of the containers. In each installation, the section of the device (11) of the transportation ensures the transportation of containers in the test zone of the installation along a straight section of the trajectory (T) in the horizontal plane (Pc) of transportation, perpendicular to the central axis of the containers.

EFFECT: creation of a non-contact measurement technology that allows accurate dimensional measurements on containers, in particular, which can detect possible inclusions in the neck and bottom of the container and which can measure at least the inner diameter of the neck and/ or at least the wall thickness of the container body in the context of monitoring a container moving at high speed on a conveyor.
