FIELD: electronics.

SUBSTANCE: vacuum-tight can windows in microwave energy outputs that can be used to create powerful and super-powerful klystrons. The can window for input and/or output of microwave energy for transmitting microwave power contains a segment of a circular waveguide, in the transverse plane of which, equidistant from its ends, there is a dielectric disk vacuum-tightly soldered to the wall of the segment of the circular waveguide, as well as the first and second segments of rectangular waveguides located coaxially with the segment of the circular waveguide and attached to it from opposite ends. The window additionally contains matching elements at the entrance and exit of the can window, made in the form of truncated cones, in combination with matching tuning elements in the form of inductive diaphragms located in the input and output rectangular waveguides.

EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions of the device, increased manufacturability of the device for outputting microwave energy, the possibility of operating the device in two modes, high level of transmitted power in the S-frequency band, and expanded operating frequency band.
