FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave engineering. Method of manufacturing and adjusting a can window for input or output of energy of a microwave device of a cylindrical structure consists in placing a circular waveguide section of a dielectric disc, connecting the circular waveguide to the waveguide sections for signal input and output, configuration of matching elements in the form of truncated cones and inductive diaphragms. Then sizes of dielectric disc and tuning elements are selected, assembly and soldering are performed, thickness of dielectric disc is calculated using numerical methods, dimensions and position of tuning matching elements; permanent part of the can window structure is made in the form of a piece of a round waveguide, in the transverse plane of which a dielectric disc is located; making a detachable part of the structure from rectangular waveguides and tuning elements; assembling all parts into a single unit; connecting the assembled device to a vector circuit analyzer for reading S-parameters; comparative analysis of numerical simulation results with experimental data is carried out; device is adjusted, parameters are checked and all parts of the structure are finally assembled.

EFFECT: possibility of fabrication and adjustment of device on mixed mode (TE11+TM11) for required electrodynamic characteristics, increased output of suitable inputs/outputs of microwave device energy.
