METHOD OF TREATMENT OF DEGREE 1 AND 2 SCOLIOSE WITH PELVIC OBLIQUITY IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/103 A61F5/14

Abstract RU 2802506 C1

FIELD: medicine; pediatric orthopedics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to treat grade 1 and 2 scoliosis with skewed pelvic bones and flat-valgus feet in children and adolescents with the same length of lower limbs. As a corrector, a wedge-shaped corrector is used, which is installed under the calcaneus. For its manufacture in a standing position on a horizontal surface, the angle of valgus deviation of the calcaneus is determined. Then the height of the wedge-shaped corrector is calculated individually for each foot according to the formula: h=a*tgb, where h is the height of the corrector, mm; a is heel width, mm; b is pronation angle of the calcaneus, in °. The wedge-shaped correctors are installed under the patient's heels, bringing the axes of the ankle joints of the right and left legs into the physiological position. The time of wearing a wedge-shaped corrector is 10–12 hours a day. At the same time, the wedge-shaped corrector is made of SBS plastic for a 3D printer, and the height difference between the wedge-shaped correctors of the right and left foot is 2 mm.

EFFECT: method provides elimination of skew of pelvic bones and curvature of the spine, as well as reduction of the scoliotic arc due to bringing the axis of the ankle joint into the physiological position.
