SUBSTANCE: process equipment for examining the inner surface of steelmaking chimneys. A device for visual inspection of the inner surface of the chimney, containing a thimble (1) and a roller mechanism (2) fixed on the pipe head, a rope (4), while it additionally contains a telescopic rod (5) having a video camera (6) on both sides and a lantern (7), spaced in pairs from opposite sides, connected to a telescopic rod (5) by means of a bolted connection, moreover, the telescopic rod (5) is connected to the thimble (1), roller mechanism (2) using a rope (4) passing through rollers (3) fixed to the middle of the telescopic rod (5) by means of a swivel mechanism (9) or rigidly, with one end of the rope (4) fixed to the outer side of the pipe with a knot, and the other end of the rope (4) passes through the gripping device (8), installed on the outer opposite side of the pipe with knots and carabiners, for vertical movement of the telescopic rod (5).
