SUBSTANCE: device (200) for cooking, comprising: a body (104) forming the floor (105) and the ceiling (110), while the floor (105) and the ceiling (110) at least partially surround the cavity (116) for cooking, the body (104) has an opening through which the product to be cooked is able to be moved in and out of the cooking device (200), while said cavity (116) has a perimeter at least partially surrounding the food cooking zone (117) adjacent to the floor (105) to accommodate the product; heating element (219) located in the upper part of said cavity (116) for transmitting radiant energy to prepare a product; and a shield (232) integral to the heating element (219) and at least partially surrounding the heating element (219) to shield part of the cooking zone (117) from radiant energy by shielding.
EFFECT: uniform cooking of the pizza, due to the fact that the outer part of the pizza rises to protect the inner part of the pizza from radiant energy by shielding.
