SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a plant for producing a sheet from an alkaloid-containing material for an aerosol generating product and a method for producing a sheet from a material containing alkaloids. A method for producing an alkaloid-containing material sheet for an aerosol-generating article includes the steps of: mixing the alkaloid-containing material with water to form a slurry; form a sheet from the specified suspension; compressing the sheet between the first pair of rollers, wherein at the start of the sheet compression step, the water content of the sheet is between 50 and 80 percent of the total weight of the sheet; additionally compressing the sheet, previously compressed by the first pair of rollers, between the second pair of rollers to obtain the required thickness of the sheet from the alkaloid-containing material. EFFECT: ensuring uniform sheet thickness.
