SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a multilayer sheet of material containing alkaloids for use in an aerosol-generating article. Multilayer sheet of material contains alkaloids and consists of first and second layers. First layer contains a substrate sheet containing fibres having an average fibre length of 1 millimetre to 5 millimetres, wherein the first layer forms a first surface and a second surface. Second layer contains a mixture of powder of material containing alkaloids, wherein the powder has a size ranging from 8 micrometres to 200 micrometres, water, a binder and a substance for forming an aerosol. Second layer is deposited on the first surface of the substrate sheet, wherein the binder is present in an amount of up to 1 percent of the total weight of the multilayer sheet of material containing alkaloids. Amount of the substance for forming the aerosol ranges from 2.9 percent to 8.5 percent of the total weight of the multilayer sheet of material containing alkaloids or the sheet of composite material containing alkaloids.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a multilayer homogeneous sheet with high tensile strength.
