FIELD: producing a roll of shaped sheet.
SUBSTANCE: method includes the steps of first unwinding an initial roll containing a wound web of material containing alkaloids, so as to provide a web of material containing alkaloids, while the web of material containing alkaloids contains from 10 percent to 25 percent of the substance to form an aerosol on a dry weight basis. Then, the alkaloid-containing material web is fed to the embossing device in the transport direction, and the alkaloid-containing material web is embossed to form an alkaloid-containing material embossed web. The final stage includes winding the embossed web made of a material containing alkaloids into a roll.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a roll containing an alkaloid-containing material that would be able to meet the needs in terms of performance and/or user experience when smoking an aerosol generated from an alkaloid-containing material contained in an aerosol-generating substrate.
