SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing of a component of an aerosol generating device. The method includes the following steps: providing a sheet (210) of the material containing alkaloids, feeding a sheet (210) of the material containing alkaloids to an embossing device (310) in the direction of transportation, embossing a sheet (210) of the material containing alkaloids to form an embossed sheet (220) of the material containing alkaloids by feeding the sheet (210) between the first and second embossing rollers (350, 360) so that the first and second embossing rollers (350, 360) emboss the sheet (210) with a pattern. In this case, the embossed pattern contains ridges (240) and depressions (350) extending in a direction perpendicular to the direction of transport. This is followed by the steps of assembling the embossed sheet (220) of the material containing alkaloids and forming a continuous rod using the embossed sheet (220) of the material containing alkaloids.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to manufacture an aerosol generating device component that can be easily incorporated into an aerosol generating article and can be used to obtain the desired contact between the air flowing through the aerosol generating article and the aerosol generating substrate.
