SUBSTANCE: increased efficiency of image encoding is achieved due to the fact that the geometric information of each of the three-dimensional points is quantized using the first quantization parameter, the first component is quantized using the second quantization parameter, and the second component is quantized using the third quantization parameter, when quantizing using the second quantization parameter, for each of the subspaces obtained by dividing the current space, the first component of the 3D point included in the subspace is further quantized using the fifth quantization parameter, when quantized using the third quantization parameter, the second component of the 3D point is further quantized using the sixth quantization parameter, and generating a bit stream, including the quantized geometric information, the quantized first component, the quantized second component, the first quantization parameter, the second quantization parameter, the first difference between the second quantization parameter and the third quantization parameter, the second difference between the second quantization parameter and the fifth quantization parameter, and the third difference between the third quantization parameter and the sixth quantization parameter.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of image encoding.
