SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a 3D data coding method, a 3D data decoding method, a 3D data coding device, and a 3D data decoding device. A method for coding 3D data includes: calculating coefficient values from pieces of 3D point attribute information included in point cloud data; quantizing the coefficient values separately to generate quantized values; generating a bit stream that includes quantized values. Each of the coefficient values belongs to one of the many layers. In quantization, each of the coefficient values is quantized using a quantization parameter for the layer to which the coefficient value belongs of a plurality of layers, and the bit stream includes first information and pieces of second information, the first information indicating a reference quantization parameter, the pieces of second information for computing quantization parameter for each layer from the reference quantization parameter.
