SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a surgical instrument with a rotary drive. A surgical instrument with a rotary drive includes a drive at the distal end, a controller at the proximal end, and an extension tube between the drive and the controller. The extension tube is movably connected to the distal end of the controller. The distal end of the extension tube is pivotally connected to the proximal end of the drive. The extension tube forms a connecting channel for transferring the action produced by the controller to the actuator. The controller includes a bend control mechanism movable in at least one direction. The bend control mechanism comprises a working part, a bend control gear and a first bend control rack. The working part is made with the possibility of connection with the bend control gear and drives the bend control gear, which is engaged with the first bend control rack. The extension tube contains the first flexible part. The first bend control rail is rigidly connected to the proximal end of the first flexible part, and the distal end of the first flexible part is connected on one side of the drive along the central axis. The first flexible part is moved towards its proximal end or distal end by rotation of the bend control gear by the bend control mechanism. When the first bend control rack is movable backward by rotation of the bend control gear, the first flexible part is tightened, and when the first bend control rack is movable forward by rotation of the bend control gear, the first flexible part is loosened, and the first flexible part provides torque for the drive and its rotation at least in one direction relative to the distal end of the extension tube.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to control the bend.
