METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE STATE OF A CORIOLIS FLOWMETER FOR ITS VERIFICATION AND/OR DISAGNOSTICS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G01F1/84 G01F25/00

Abstract RU 2803043 C1

FIELD: oil and gas flow measurement.

SUBSTANCE: present invention is related to means for measuring the mass flow of liquids and gases, namely to Coriolis flow meters, in particular to means for diagnosing and verifying a Coriolis flow meter, and can be used in measuring technology. At the stage of factory setting, mechanical vibrations of the oscillatory system of the Coriolis flowmeter are excited, the parameters of the oscillating system are measured using a sensor in form of its initial data, which are functions of its state, including natural frequencies of the oscillatory system. The coefficients are also determined, which are functions of the pressure and density of the working medium, which are then stored and used during subsequent evaluation of the parameters of the oscillatory system during operation based on repeated measurements of the parameters of the vibrations, taking into account the data on the initial state. In this case, two natural frequencies of the oscillatory system are used as initial parameters and the ratio of these natural frequencies is calculated, which is a coefficient describing the initial state of the Coriolis flowmeter. During the assessment of the current state of the Coriolis flowmeter during its operation, the two natural frequencies of the oscillatory system are repeatedly measured and their ratio is calculated. Then, the current data is compared with the corresponding stored initial data, and, based on the evaluation result, a conclusion is made about the state of the Coriolis flowmeter.

EFFECT: simplification of the method for assessing the state of the Coriolis flowmeter by eliminating temperature measurements while maintaining the reliability of this method.
