SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a compound that is a hydrate of 2-amino-N-(4-hydroxy-bicyclo[2.2.2]octan-1-yl)-5-(4-((1R,5S)-3-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)-3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexan-1-yl)phenyl)nicotinamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a compound that is a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of 2-amino-N-(4-hydroxy-bicyclo[2.2.2]octan-1-yl)-5-(4-((1R,5S)-3-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)-3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-1-yl)phenyl)nicotinamide, where the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is selected from the group consisting of fumarate, phosphate, lactate, tartrate and malic acid salt and to a compound that is an anhydrate of 2-amino-N-(4-hydroxy-bicyclo[2.2.2]octan-1-yl)-5-(4-((1R,5S)-3-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)-3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexan-1-yl)phenyl)nicotinamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting activin receptor-like kinase 2 (ALK-2) receptor activity in a subject, comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the invention and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable vehicles. The compounds of the invention are used in a method of inhibiting activin receptor-like kinase 2 (ALK-2) receptor activity in a subject, and of treating a disorder or disease selected from heterotopic ossification or progressive fibrodysplasia ossificans.
