FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: method of geological exploration based on the frequency resonance of seismic waves, implemented in the following sequence: at step S1, at a ground point y, vibration wave field data is collected and these data are converted into frequency range data; in step S2, at the source ground point x, the acquired wavefield data is converted and then transformed into frequency domain wavefield data, whereupon a virtual excitation field source is calculated; at step S3, calculations are made in relation to the field of the virtual excitation source and as a result, data M(y, f) are obtained on the ratio of the values of the wave resistance of the formations at the data collection point y; in step S4, based on the relationship between the intensity of the frequency resonance of the medium V, the frequency f, and the thickness d, M(y, f) is converted into a ratio of the deep range impedance values; in step S5, depending on the exploration requirement, the ratio of the deep range impedance values can be selectively converted to the deep range impedance. Further, as a result of data processing, the wave impedance data is converted into data on other geological parameters.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and information content of spatial and attributive visualization of underground environments based on seismic data on elastic waves emanating from a noise source.
