FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to production of vermicompost from wood leaf litter. The method is based on mixing Acer negundo maple litter with greenhouse soil in a ratio of 16:1 by volume, then water is added until a moisture content of 75–77% is reached. A population of Eisenia fetida is introduced into the resulting substrate at the rate of 1000 animals per 120 liters of the initial mixture which is then vermicomposted for 5 months.
EFFECT: production of vermicompost with a total nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content of at least 0.7%, 0.5%, 0.7%, respectively.
