FIELD: drinking vessels.
SUBSTANCE: method of production related to disposable utensils for hot and cold drinks. The essence of the claimed invention lies in the fact that the method for production of a disposable cup includes preparing a blank for the side wall, for which strips are cut out from rolls and/or sheets of a multilayer material, including at least a layer of foamed polyethylene terephthalate, preparing a blank for the bottom, for which rolls and/or from sheets of multilayer material, including at least a printed layer and a layer of foamed polyethylene terephthalate, narrow strips are cut for cutting and forming the base of a disposable cup, then the cup is assembled from the side walls, giving the product the shape of a body of revolution, then the edges of the side wall are connected between using ultrasonic welding, then the side wall is folded so that a part of the side wall material enters the base, and the hem is ultrasonic welded to the base. A disposable cup consists of a side wall fastened together, made in form of a body of revolution and a base, and a flanging is made in the upper part of the side wall, and the side wall and the base are made multilayer and include at least a layer of foamed polyethylene terephthalate, and the cup is made in this way.
EFFECT: creating a new method for production of a disposable cup, in which all processes of infrared (thermal) welding are replaced by ultrasonic welding; additionally, creating a more durable and reliable design of a disposable cup made of a multilayer material based on foamed primary and/or secondary (obtained from polyethylene terephthalate waste) polyethylene terephthalate.
