FIELD: dental devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an orthodontic bracket used for orthodontic treatment of a patient. The orthodontic bracket contains a base having a base engagement surface in contact with the tooth, and single engraved reliefs inclined inward to a predetermined depth from the base engagement surface to accommodate a binder for engagement of the tooth; and a body provided on the top of the base and having a groove capable of inserting a wire therein. Moreover, each single engraved relief has first, second, third and fourth inclined surfaces being the internal walls formed in the direction of its depth. The adjacent corners of the first, second, third and fourth inclined surfaces are rounded with a given radius of curvature r, and the straight sections formed between the third and fourth inclined surfaces and the base adhesion surface are inclined at a given angle of inclination relative to the straight segments formed between the first and second sloping surfaces and basic grip surface.
EFFECT: orthodontic bracket allows to withstand the load applied in various directions in the oral cavity during its use.
