SUBSTANCE: belt conveyor contains a conveyor belt (12), which is movable in the longitudinal direction and has two wide surfaces (24, 26), and a plurality of reference stations (14) with drive motors (32), which are distributed in the longitudinal direction along the conveyor belt (12) and are configured to support the conveyor belt (12) with one of the wide surfaces (26). The drive motor is powered by photovoltaic cells and/or at least one wind turbine. The reference stations, equipped with a drive motor, are sequentially located at a distance of 1 to 15 m.
EFFECT: reducing the tension in the conveyor belt and the power required to drive the conveyor belt.
