FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to manufacturing blocks of electrical equipment elements, namely to structural elements for connecting boards with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for lighting units. The result is achieved in that the light emitting diode (LED) strip assembly contains the first LED board and the second LED board, which include: a printed circuit board (PCB) substrate with the first side and the second side opposite the first side of the PCB substrate, a plurality of LEDs disposed on the first side of the PCB substrate, an end portion, and a plurality of compressible electrically conductive elements, each of which extends outwardly from a second side of the PCB substrate and is compressible along an axis perpendicular to the second side of the PCB substrate; and a backplane that includes the third PCB substrate having a first region and a second region, the third PCB substrate including: a plurality of first electrically conductive pads disposed on a first side of the third PCB substrate and in a first region of the third PCB substrate, and a plurality of second electrically conductive pads disposed on a first side of the substrate of the third PCB and in a second region of the substrate of the third PCB, wherein each first electrically conductive pad is electrically connected to at least one of the second electrically conductive pads via an electrically conductive connection board track, and an end portion of the first board with the LED is located near an end portion of the second LED board, the first side of the third PCB substrate faces the second side of the first LED board and the second side of the second LED board, each compressible electrically conductive element of the first LED board is in electrically conductive contact with a corresponding one of the first electrically conductive pads, and each compressible electrically conductive element of the second LED board is in electrically conductive contact with a corresponding one of the plurality of second electrically conductive pads.
EFFECT: provision of a low-profile electrical connection while maintaining the location of the LEDs in the same plane along the LED boards.
