FIELD: railroad engineering.
SUBSTANCE: ballast screening systems with the ability to move along the track. The screening unit contains at least two screens with inlets for contaminated ballast and outlets of purified and rejected ballast, conveyors for re-laying of purified ballast, unloading conveyors for rejected ballast. The relay conveyors run under the first screen at a lower height than the reject ballast conveyors. The second screen includes a reject ballast inlet configured to be fed by conveyors to collect the rejected ballast, and a discharge opening to pass the rejected ballast from the first screen.
EFFECT: simplified design of the ballast screening system.
