FIELD: construction of roads, railways, or bridges; track railway ballast cleaners.

SUBSTANCE: ballast cleaner includes a carriage part in the form of a frame on two running trolleys, an excavation device, a screen located in the rear part, a loading conveyor, a conveyor for collection and transfer of contaminants, a rotary conveyor, a lifting-straightening device, a sleeper box puncher and a control cabin. Under the lower sieve of the screen there is a material collection conveyor passing inside the frame and directing the flow of material into an additional screen-classifier installed in the middle part of the frame, which extracts the fine fraction of suitable crushed stone from the general flow for its laying directly into the lower layer of the formed ballast prism, and under which there is said contaminant collection and transfer conveyor passing inside the frame and directing the material flow to the rotary conveyor installed in the front part.

EFFECT: design of the ballast cleaning machine is simplified while maintaining high productivity with rational use of sifted ballast materials and their layer-by-layer laying along the way.
