SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of nanoparticles, namely to the production of an aqueous colloidal solution of silver nanoparticles, and can be used in medicine, pharmacology, biotechnology, veterinary medicine, cosmetology, agriculture, production of household chemicals, paint, textile and food industries. The method includes the stages of obtaining a layer of silver fibers with a BET specific surface of 5 m2/g, activating the surface of the silver fibers by successively passing acetic acid, dimethyl sulfoxide, acetic acid and distilled water through the said layer, and passing distilled water through the resulting layer of activated silver fibers. An aqueous colloidal solution of silver nanoparticles with a pH value from 5.5 to 7.5 containing silver particles 3 nm in size in a concentration of 938–2980 μg/l is obtained. The biological activity of silver particles is increased in a solution free of organic and inorganic impurities in the form of heavy metals, surfactants and polymers and suitable for internal use.
