FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the hydraulic system of the device for protecting the jet of molten metal during continuous casting of steel. The device contains a bearing arm, as well as a hydraulic system, including a protective tube compression cylinder containing a rod and piston chambers connected to a distributor and two throttles, while the cylinder is connected through the distributor to the drain and pressure lines, the last of which is connected to a hydraulic accumulator. The mechanism is equipped with at least one movement device, as well as a protective tube, through which it catches the change in bucket pressure and transmits it to the hydraulic system. The hydraulic system contains an element that determines the pressure in the hydraulic system, connected to the control element, with the possibility of transferring the upper and lower threshold pressure values to it. The operating pressure in the hydraulic system is in the range of 85-160 bar.
EFFECT: invention improves the technological characteristics of the device while improving the quality of the poured metal.
